Been teaching my kids how to bake. Today was brownie day again.

The kids did most of it and I helped less. Water was spilled and the brownies came out a bit dry.

This was disappointing to the little one so I tried to comfort her. "Hey mistakes in the kitchen happen-it's how we learn-I"ve ruined plenty of things"

and she says to me "Like the blue car?"


Outta nowhere. That hurt.

Good morning from Coeur D'Alene ID.   Not even close to the same creature comforts and over-the-top hospitality as LMT's â€" which are highly recommended if anyone here ever gets her way!   


Plan is to drive maybe directly, maybe indirectly to Missoula to spend several days to get more of a feel for that town since I thought I might want to live there.

ION:  Who is now my former counterpart in the state of Virginia has asked that I formally submit to take his place there (w/the President's encouragement) as he's moving to another state for a similar job (it's an incestuous industry).  They need to know if I want to seriously consider this as early as yesterday.   Yeesh.  More $, better people (who I've met and know) but do I want the same  job in VA and in the same industry that I just left?    Need to figure that one out soon.

6” of snow in Albuquerque and its still coming down.  I'm electing to work from home tomorrow.

And in other news, I sold the S4Rs.  I'm tired of riding around feeling like an unintended target for the next distracted driver...

Also: don't care for track days & road racing motorcycles. 

28 years riding the street...  The next 12 months will likely be my last in the saddle.  We still have an M1000S and I need to complete the Bobber again it seems, so we still have bikes.

I know how you feel about riding on the street Stu.

I used to love riding on the race track, but that thrill is going away, as well.
