No S they're Marzocchi's.

Does your fender attach with the two plastic bands with the captive nuts?

If so the forks were definitely changed to a later model.

The 99 750 should have the old style fender mount built on to the fork leg.

There's two allen-head bolts on each side with a plastic washer attached.  These pass through the fender & thread into a flange cast into the bottom of the fork leg.  See the pic:

Copy. Calibration error = humidity, altitude, attitude to tutu, distraction from tutu, stereotype naked rat bikes, human error due to heat, tutu and jealousy!
