kid slept for 10 hours last night, i slept like shit.

I recall when my daughter started sleeping more than 6 hours a night.  She would sleep, but usually one of us would wake up out of habit.  Even if you don't fully wake, I think part of it is "troubled sleep" and not in that restful phase of sleep.

My niece is 17wks now.

There was never an issue with her not sleeping like 10 hours straight through the night.


of course the first few weeks she would wake up to be fed, but after a bottle.......back to sleep.

I think my brother and sis in law hit the jackpot.
