Afternoon folks!  Rainy day out there.  Burgers on the grill despite the rain.

No rain here, just more hot temperatures more typical of how it should've been during the summer that barely was.

I like this time of year.

People come and exclaim how beautiful it is and how they'd like to live here.

I smile and nod when they actually do and I see them in February. ;D

High 60's and sunny here.  Home from work, and resting up for dinner.  I came home and found a gift on my laptop.  It is a glass sea star necklace.  Today is the 18th anniversary of our first date.

Congrats! Crazy how time flies isn't it?
In July it was my 14th wedding anniversary, that number doesn't seem like it could be possibly right though.

After cooler than average days, I got sunburned at soccer practice yesterday.

Oh so funny!    [clap]

I like when they find out their idea of "cold weather clothes" aren't much good between mid December and mid March..............

If you were stuck in TX for the last two days, would you?  :-\

four days actually.

crappy hotel.

crappy food, with a few exceptions.

rainy, cloudy, humid.

and to top it off, was at the State Fair of Texas today for the 2010 4Runner reveal.  It was media day.  nothing else was open.  none of the food vendors were open (and why are so many things at the fair 'served on a stick'?), which is really depressing as I was sooooooo looking forward to deep fried butter and deep fried peaches and cream  >:(

The riding is fine and salt adds more character to the bike of course. The sandy roads make me feel like my bike is really powerful as it spins up the tire at will.  [thumbsup]

It's the cold.
If it truly was that problematic for us we wouldn't live where it happens.
