We're actually getting some pretty decent accumulation of snow today  [thumbsup]

Pork roast in the crock pot is smelling tasty.

Rum & coke with Mexican coca-cola is  [thumbsup] too!

Only once

I ditched our Engine on purpose a few years ago

in about 4 foot of snow heading down from Timberline Lodge

the brakes just made it slide faster so I aimed for a soft spot...

Both ditch incidents with the ambulance were the result of throwing chains while headed up long hills

very not on purpose and both very very long incident reports  :-[

I was about to ask if the ambulance was chained up  The DOT truck had chains and most of a hopper of salt/sand/chat.  I've used a ditch for speed control on long downhill sections.  My ex-gf had parents that live way up the side of a mountain.  There was this LONG straight downhill section that was really steep.  I slowed, dropped into 4-Lo to crawl down this section.  The truck just turned loosed on the snow/ice pack on the road.  I found the piles left behind by the snow plow on the side of the road are great for slowing a runaway truck.  It was a bumpy ride, but I made it to the bottom in one piece!
