Just got back from the local Ducati shop. $66 later I'm home with two oil filters, crush washers, and ordered replacements for the destroyed bolts.  Oil filters have gone up, the used to be either$12 or $13, and they're $17 now.  The bolts were $12 each too!

Now, I need to locate a left side rearset, order needle jets, and find some tires.

BTW, I bought one of the last oil filters from out now 'no longer Ducati dealer, for, $25.00 !!!!   >:( :o  no crush washer ... 
The now 'no longer Ducati dealer' still has a stock of part and is selling for ridiculous hi prices ...

Just reworking my M750.  Taking the clip-ons off, putting risers & a dirt bar on, painting the engine cases etc.  I've had a broken rearset for a long time, and I need to replace it.

Yea, I usually order a Fram or Napa filter, but I was there and they used to only be $2 more than the Fram.  I've got a page bookmarked somewhere that has a list of the equivalent filters

Everyone I've talked to in the last few years is walking away from those ....
It seems the core is 'made out of cardboard and the preasure spring is way too soft for the Ducs' ...

I get them from ducvet...

I think they come through Parts Unlimited. I can find out if you like, or I can just send you some when you're ready.

The Hi-Flo is good too.

As long as it stops the oil from running out I'm OK with it.  :P

Seriously...the OEM filters are stupid overpriced, and these are quality replacements.

While we're talking alternatives, what is a good alternative for Ducbond?  It's used as a gasket between the engine case & the stator cover.

When I took down both covers for painting, I used Permatex Black Hi Temp silicone gasket maker ..

I had heard that, but have never had problems, and coming from a Fram using dad, I've seen a dozen or so vehicles go well beyond 100,000 miles with no issues.  34,000 miles on the Monster and it's had Fram filters all except two times ~
