We did a cooking class today. We met at the Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle and toured the fish market, ate cooked crab with really good sauce the chef made, then we went to the Taylor seafood market and I ate a raw oyster. 2 actually!  Then we hit the Capital Hill Melrose market for cheese and wine tasting, then off to the chefs kitchen to cook. We had mussels with a Guinness reduction and a raw sea scallop dish. Yum Yum. We had a great day and learned a lot about substainable seafood.

The chef is Becky Selengut and the book is Good Fish. We have made 4 dishes so far they were all tasty and easy.   http://www.goodfishbook.com/gfb/index.asp

Hi

Wasn't as creative as LMT.  Made pizza on the BBQ.  Made it the easy way: bought good ready-made flat bread, good cheese, some good sauce and some fresh basil from the yard.  Quick with very little clean up.

I tasted them all, must admit, ALL are good ... If you liked the Caribeno I sent, then either the second from left to right[HOT] on top row or Orange Pulp << real nice citrus flavor and the kick of habaneros ...

Actually these were my two favorites, the Very Hot, Beware or Belizian Heat, are VEWRY VEWRY HOT and might take away flavor from the food ...

This one was great on BBQ, http://www.artboxbz.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=2402 ... as confusing as it can be, in Belize they told me this sauce is Belizian ... I can only say it was good, hot yet sweet and great on BBQ meat and pork !!! How come is Canadian ... me dunno man ...

btw, dp, sent email asking for advice ...

The Caribeno was awesome...

I liked the habanero better.

The Zipster really liked the river today.

I hope we get some rain so we can do it again this summer.

Paintin' & Pepper Sauce.  [thumbsup]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Evening.  Made 2 quarts of refrigerator pickles.

Re-racked my apple wine.  Seems fermentation wasn't quite done.  I used two different yeasts, 1 type for each gallon.  They're tolerant of 18% or so alcohol content.  It seems I'll have some strong wine!  [evil]

Also, Super Mario Brothers Wii is a hoot!

Good evening all.  Winding down after a "go go go" weekend.  Whew.
The week is looking to be about the same.
