Well, 28 years is definitely old for a UJM. The paint, while undeniably hideous, is "custom" in the sense that no self-respecting factory would send it out that way. He probably doodled the paint scheme with whatever crayons were available in school that day, which is the most likely explanation for the "school" part.

In my opinion, it's the orange gauges that make this treasure worth nearly a thousand bucks more than my wife's new 2009 Monster 696.
