IF you liked Columbus Brewings Hangar 24 IPA. You gotta try:

Ballast Point Sculpin
Alpine Brewing Duet
Kern River Brewing Just Outstanding

I'm a Hop addict and go for the IPA's and DIPA's

But i've also got a thing for Imperial Stouts

Lucky me, my wife works at a killer restaurant (North County San Diego) that has Sculpin on tap and I drinks it for freeeeee! chug

Malty and spicy or citrus/ipa-like and spicy?   What's going on with that beer?  Sounds interesting!

I'd guess spicy an in chilli peppers.  Those chilli beers are crazy, and holy shit, Ghost Pepper?!?!?  Isn't that literally the hottest pepper in existence?

I've had Bootleggers Hopanero Beer ( IPA with... Habanero), and Coronado Brewing Idiot IPA with Hatch Chili's.. Both were pretty good with the prior actually being more balanced with the chili's..

The Ladyface IPA with Ghost Peppers was Pepper HOT... the chili pepper WAY overshadowed the Hops and was a bit too much (flavor-wise) for me.

Tried Kasteel Rouge at a local place.  It's called the 'Thirsty Monk' and the basement bar specializes in Belgian and simiar brews.

We've got a bar in Asheville that specializes in Belgian and similar brews.  Lots of heavy, high-gravity brews on tap at that place.  They carry the entire Ommengang line, as well as plenty of others.

Nice.

A brewing buddy and I harvested yeast out of a bottle of Goose Island Matilda recently for later use.

We have high hopes of creating our own Belgian.  Smiley
