I've seen mixed reviews about these types of gun safes. I was at a gunshop and a guy was asking about a model the shop was selling. The sales guy tried 3 times before the safe actually opened. Granted this was about 3 years ago so I hope that they've gotten better and if that's the case then I might be able to finally convince the wife that it's time to keep a firearm at home.

I watched both the bio-metric and the combination one opened at a show with no trouble.

Maybe it was smoke and mirrors.
