I like how easy it is to clean the gun once it's applied.

Took a good look at a Springfield 1911 Range Officer at my local shop.  Seems like a nice pistol for the money.  They're looking for $820 for a new one.

Anyone have any experience with this particular model 1911?

I have a thing for CZ and clones..

Will be getting this in the post on Monday:

ITM AT-84S.  Swiss licensed copy of the CZ.  Not clear if it is one of the CZ frames or Tanfolio, but I'll be fine with either.  ITM became Sphinx and kept making them in the late 80s.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Good looking pistol!  Do give an update on how it feels and works!  [thumbsup]

I imagine it will feel like every other 75 I've used, but who knows.. It's Swiss.

This one has had very little use tho, maybe a box of rounds thru it.

I just love CZs, and any pre-B model gets me interested.

I have had a CZ 75 Tactical 9mm for years.
Solid, accurate and heavy, lets you get back on target fast.
CZ is very under-rated IMO.

That's what everyone keeps saying.

Must be something to it.

I wouldn't call them underrated, it's just a huge market and there are other good choices out there.

I think a lot of what makes a good handgun is just your body's compatibility with it.  I shoot better with a CZ.  Some guys shoot better with a 1911 or a Glock or something else.  I have all of them, but something about the CZ just clicked with my hand.  I like other handguns, but I enjoy shooting this one the most.

I'm just psyched to finally get one of the Swiss models. I have a thing for Swiss guns (not Swiss/German but bonafide Swiss, i.e. SIG not SIG-Sauer)

I think reliability is a big positive for CZ.
It is a simple gun.
Maybe that is why it is standard issue for many police forces in Europe

All guns are accurate. Not so much for the person behind it.  ;)

Agreed.
99.99% of inaccuracy is the person and not the gun. [thumbsup]

Why is it harder to be accurate with some guns vs. others?
I shot my .45 ACP and .40 S&W very accurate from 10 and 15 yards while I struggle
with my 9 mm M&P.

Dochunt

Its all about the fit.
I have professional target shooting friends who spend big bucks the have the stock of their shotgun or the grip and balance of their handguns.
I am a sporting clay shooter myself and I have hand my shotgun stocks fitted specially to me.

Come to AL and I'll show you why. I promise it's you, not the gun.
