Dead Air makes some nice suppressors.

Nice bottle of Lore you've got there.

The nice thing about averaging  one drink every two weeks or so is that I can buy the good stuff  [evil]

My Mac 10 had an identity crisis. I wasn't happy with any of the stock options available, so I hacked this together. Stock is the ACR/SCAR  from Kinetic Development.  Only one dremel was burned up in the making of this  ;D  The Lage upper really makes this thing controllable. Singles are easy. Very fun. I'm looking into doing some of the subgun comps.

Used them when I was training FAM's after 9-11. What's your questions?

I'm still working with the Marlin 60 and have a few questions.  I think the scope is unsalvageable, but I thought I'd get some opinions.  The background on the rifle is a 1976 manufacture date, probably not used very much.  I've replaced the recoil spring and spring guide but otherwise it's pretty much original.  I'm hoping to be able to get it usable to teach my son how to shoot when he gets a little older.  It's basically going to be a target rifle just to teach the basics and safety of handling a gun.

The issue is it looks like the scope adjustments are beyond help.  I can always pull the scope off and use it just with the iron sights.  I hate to take it off, as it's original, but if it's not going to work, I suppose I will.  FWIW, my grandmother said my grandfather couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it and this may be why.

These are the two adjustments on the scope (I don't have any scope experience) I'm guessing windage and elevation.  The mounts are cracked/broken.

For said intended purpose, removal of the scope seems just fine to me.

If a repair or replacement is found, then it can go on at the appropriate point.

I don't think there's any fix in that scope.

Thanks, that confirms what I was thinking, I just wanted to be sure before I pulled it.  I can probably find another at some point, of if my son really takes to shooting possibly get a better one.

This would make an adequate replacement if you want a scope. Inexpensive enough. I have an older 3-9 on a single shot pest eradicator that works.

Should I add it to the family?  Is it a good long term buy regarding reliability and durability?
