Or maybe F3 Training.

400rd session today. Multiple drills working from 10 to 50. The STI is running great and my little brain is getting a better handle on the RMR. Ordered all the parts yesterday to build a 1911.

I have a Caspian frame that I need to build out. I was on the wait list for Yost, but my reservation must have been lost. That was a decade ago  [laugh]

Did you buy a parts kit, or buy individually?

I just ordered individually. Spreading the love.  ;)

Went back to back again this week. Got several days of rain 🌧 heading my way. Beautiful 63 degrado day, and I was in a groove, I don't get many days like that. Ran 400+ rounds doing all different types of drills, MOE's and distances.  I'm damn close to the 5k round count for the RMR train up. I'll post my' thoughts soon for anyone that gives a rats ass.

Ran another 400rds today. This puts me over the 5k train up with the RMR. It's coming around little by little. At this point I consider myself trained on how to use the RMR. I will continue to run it hard. My thoughts at this point are, and I've talked about it during this train up. It's certainly not a bandaid and if you want to run one, you'll need to put even more training time into it to get good.

All of my training is based around CMMS/SDS shooting. I believe you can be very efficient with irons as long as you put the work in. If you still aren't shooting a fiber optic front sight, I'd highly recommend going that route prior to running an RMR.

At this stage of the game I'm no faster with the RMR, maybe first round out of the rig, but across the board similar results. I've only got 5k rounds using this optic and couldn't guess how many rounds I've shot through irons. So, as time goes on I'm sure I'll continue to get better. ymmv

The 1911 (4”) we're building will be an iron sight gun.

Toys for Christmas!  ;D

S&W M&P9 Compact 2.0 and Kimber K6S .357, preliminary plinking in the woods while freezing my ass off was fun, gonna love them both. Can't wait to get to the range.

Thanks for the input on the M&P, Kopf!

Several of the best shooters in the game. I follow Maria, that's how I ran across this vid. Some great split screen footage. Mad skills.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Got rained out on Thursday, so I did a makeup session today. Back to my normal round count, ran 250rds of various drills. Hit mag changes pretty hard.
