I'm with Kopf on this one.  Lasers (at least ones that are visible with the naked eye) aren't that terribly useful unless you're not willing to learn how to shoot properly.

Yeah that was great. $400 bucks later and the pros laughed at it mercilessly. Hell, I'd take it off but I've no idea how.

So how do the pros feel about ghost rings? (cringe)

I'm going to start shooting with my neighbor (former SEAL, former cop),

He has an underground gun range on his property and invited me to shoot with him "anytime". I am a good with a pistol. A long time ago I thought I was very good. Then I shot with guys who were very good. I learned I am only good.

Could be good guys to learn from.

I learned a TON. I definitely improved simply by watching and listening to those guys.
I shoot purely for recreation (and missed it while in HI!). But anytime I can get info/tips form pros I'll take it.

My brother who shot with his cousin-in-law (is that a word?) who is a Seal XX Team Sniper.

They did handgun training and some rifle.

He said his technique, stance, and overall shooting greatly improved with his 3 hours with this guy.

If you want to see some dudes that can shoot. Go to a 3 gun match.  :)

Why would I want to look even more inept than I already am? ;D

One thing I want you guy's to notice. In the still shot of the vid I posted of Dave he is doing an emergency/combat reload. Even as incredibly fast as he is, notice his gun is canted over in the shooters box, and he is looking down at the mag well. Textbook.  ;)

I have a question...

Not to demean Mr. Sevigny's talent...but...

how does he do if someone is shooting back?

Just a question mind you.

Couldn't answer that as Dave has never been on a 2 way range, but given his talent I don't want to play that game with him. Tactical shooting is tactical shooting, these skills carry over to the battlefield. What one will do when their world comes crashing down around them can only be tested one way.  ;)
