Move to a state with no income tax? And save $10-12 million over NY/NJ/OH in the process?

It's all about the Benjamins.

it was already said in this thread, but athletes pay taxes based on where they play, not their home city. Brian Rafalski (Detroit Red Wings) breaks even when his team plays in Nashville, as they charge pro-athletes $5,000/yr tax to play in their fair city. He'll save on endorsement tax, but he left a hell of a lot of money on the table in Cleveland to be able to have a bad game and his team still have a chance to win.

I forgot about that!!!

Some cities do charge pro athletes a "registration fee" type tax to play in their municipality. I remember that from my friend I mentioned before. She said it was pretty crazy how much they lose across the country.

Shouldn't the city weep because....

They're in Ohio?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I didn't think there were that many basketball fans on here, seeing that there weren't any?? threads about the basketball finals. I thought many here mainly hockey/football/mma fans.

Personally, I hate the make the beast with two backsen game and the show ponies who earn way too much to play the "game".

But, to each his own.  ;)
I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.

I weep for the fact I am in Ohio everyday. Unfortunately, good jobs prevail at this current point in time.

We are young; not having kids. Plenty of time to explore the US.

But yes, I don't care for living here.

I would imagine 41+ games in Miami is better than 41+ games in NYC or Cleveland.  ;)

The Knicks gave James 200 reasons why he would become a " Billionaire " there before any other place he would go.

If he would have gone to NJ , chances are the Russian owner would have made him an International Super Star and a Billionaire.

So it wasn't for the $$$$$$$$$.

He wants to play w, Wade and Bosh or whatever his name is.

Le Bron's " Dream Team ."

His plan to win a bunch of Championships .
