She says that one of her friends says that they saw her on youtube but I can't see how anyone could identify her from that vid. If she didn't say anything then nobody would have known it was her. All the embarrassment she's "suffering" from is made up. Nobody knew it was her and nobody was laughing specifically at her until she spoke up and declared that she was an idiot.

Plus...I don't think a person can expect privacy when in a public place. Meaning anyone can take a video of some dumb ass walking through the mall and post it on the web and there isn't anything the person can do about it since it's from a public place. Ducatiz? Spidey?

I can see the mall cops getting fired/reprimanded. But, that's petty anyway.

And she CAN sue. The mall, security firm, or whomever she sues will likely settle as it's better than "bad press" or litigation.

That's the perpetual downward spiral that encourages more and more people to sue over dumb shit. If a company would just stand up and say "go ahead, sue - you got no case and you'll go broke trying," it might discourage the practice and cause the ambulance chasing lawyers to stop running with every nutball case.

No offense to the fine upstanding member of the legal profession, but if they made lawyers have some more skin the in game (besides their time) these types of lawsuits might be less common.

i.e. The lawyer gets 30% of any "winnings" but also has to pay 30% of any penalties.

Wasn't there an ancient Chinese law that says if you wrongly claim something against someone and it's proven to not be true/lie/made up etc. in court then whatever punishment may befall the accused would in turn now happen to you? As in if the punishment were dismemberment of a hand or limb and you lost in court then off goes your limb or hand. Am I just dreaming in colors or was there something like that? So if the mall, security, etc. says make the beast with two backs you and she sues them and looses can I push her in the fountain of piranhas?? Huh, can I please? Huh, can I? Can I??? Ah come on!!
