Well about @230 today i took off for Madrid but while i stopped for gas at the Shell station in Cedar Crest my eyes wandered across the street to the crest road. I thought "why not" and next thing I knew I was at thetop of the crest about 39 degrees and 40 mile an hour winds. i almost fell over several times up there but on the way up the road was fairly clear and there was no ice. Just on the center line for the most part was the only sand. I had the best time, then back into town, N on paseo, E on Academy to I25 then N to Placitas then a night time ride home under the moon and venus! Whoohoo about 140 miles!

I went up this weekend too!  True about the sand in the turns, although I would say I am running at about 70% of normal.  Mostly clean, but too hard to pick good lines and going down was much less confidence inspiring.  LOTS of grit in the outside turns.  It'll be clearing up soon but, damn, it's hard to stay off the throttle!

I'll try to jump in Thursday if I'm back from Phoenix/Pittsburgh, CA by then.  Our plans are indeterminate, so I'm not sure when I'll be back in the AO.

Have fun if I miss out.
