. . . But then again... silly me...why would the oil companies want to compete against themselves.

Because they're not competing against themselves? Gaseous hyrocarbon or liquid hydrocarbon is still a hydrocarbon; "big oil" doesn't care.  They just switch resources from one to the other depending on the market demand and projected profit margin.

we are off the subject a bit on the whole diesel thing...but since we are talking CNG...someone needs to look up the Leno's Garage link when he interviews JT Nesbitt about the CNG custom roadster with the 4.2 Jag motor he converted and built....I would, but it is a filtered out ( ie:read blocked ) thing on our web firewall here at work...

A link to a website would be more appropriate than sarcasm in this instance...

It was an ambiguous question. And my friends operation isn't national. San Diego is likely the far edge of the service area.

Plus his website is weak.

as is your excuse...

You should let your friend decide the limits of his operation.

I don't see big oil as the enemy of CNG...after all, they are involved in that as well. Money is money to them.

I see government, especially local ones, being the big enemy. It's easy to tax the crap out of gasoline. Not so much with CNG when people can fill up at home...and just taxing all natural gas is tricky, since a high % of people use it to heat their homes and cook their food.  coffee

I guarantee he won't be going to DC to install something in your house. I'm sure there are installers in your area.

perhaps your friend might be able to refer him to someone in that area instead of blindly thumbing through the yellow pages?

You guys are funny. I referred Chris to my friend because he is local and I feel comfortable sending my friend to Chris. That's it. I apologize for not going to PM with it. I apologize to rgramjet for joking with him. I would suggest calling your local gas provider for a list of approved installers for your area. The list is likely short.
