that is awesome!!!...with a diesel, I'd dump my Subaru Baja for that in a heartbeat, since I know I am not going to get an Amorok!

This!  Shame that it's going to be at least 2015 before they think about dropping a diesel into the Wrangler for the US market.  And that's IF they think about it.

I STILL wish my Dakota (4.7L V8) was a diesel.  Come on Dodge, I'll be your beta tester!

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Curious to see what sort of upgrade packages will be required in the possible diesel Wrangler.  The new Grand Cherokees cost an additional what, $4500 just for the diesel?  Slap that option on a Rubi and you're now looking at a $46K Wrangler?

You are correct about the 4500 option for the diesel. This is why they are never going to adopted by the masses in the USA, it's not worth it for most people. Cost needs to come down before they are adopted.

Does anyone else think about this? I'm always wishing toyota calls me and asks if i would test out their new turbo diesel.  I'll keep dreaming....

No kidding.

My 2-door '13 Sahara stickered for a hair over $35K, which I thought was/is make the beast with two backsing ridiculous.

I can only imagine how awesome a diesel Wrangler would be though.  Cool
