Yup. I see Izuzu box trucks and tow vehicles all over the place. They are well renowned work horses. No small vehicles though. Shame.

The Holden is only a Holden when sold in Australia.  In the rest of the world it's an all American Chevrolet  Grin.

I like it better than the VW.  But I like the global Ranger best of 'em all.

In case you've forgotten...

GM actually, quote from Wikipedia:
"General Motors produces cars and trucks in 37 countries, and sells and services the vehicles through the following brands: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Baojun, Holden, Isuzu, Jie Fang, Opel, Vauxhall, and Wuling."

Been reading about diesel swaps in Rovers and the Isuzu engines keep coming up, specifically the tdi that goes in the Trooper (Bighorn for you Aussies?). More and more tempting, especially if I can convert to biodiesel and get cheap oil from fast food chains, talk about a never-ending supply! laughingdp

I want that Holden Colorado.  I'll take mine in 4x4 Space Cab LTZ flavor with the manual transmission, please.  Wink  Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of the Equinox facia, but whatever.  A small truck with a 2.8L Isuzu/Duramax motor and a manual gearbox?  Sold.

Ya know... I wonder if that truck has the same forward chassis as the Equinox or the US-spec Colorado?  I'd be temped to buy the powertrain out of a wrecked one and ship it home.  Cost is not the object... it would just be cool.

I would take the Isuzu D-Max with the 3.0 Turbo Di engine in crew cab if it were available in Panama and not special order, this, puts it at the same price as the 4 dr/4x4 model and I don't need the extra doors . . .

But the D-Max looks like it's been smacked in the face with a wet Tuna....  is it's Holdevrolet cousin available in Panamania?

Yes . . . with a 2.5l Turbo Direct Injection 4 cyl . . . opt is the 3.0L Turbo Direct Injection[Denso  vomit on both]

Other options would be the Frontier L4-718 or D4-1003 or the Ford Ranger 3.2 Turbo Diesel,

The five cylinder 3.2 Ford Ranger would be my first choice  waytogo

Or... the same engine in the same vehicle.... but wrapped funky Madza style (if you like that kinda thing)...
