Somebody had the dumb idea(was compelled by the power of orange) to take at least one B road...funny how the leader on the KTM always has the dumb ideas...
Fortunately, I wasn't leading and it wasn't my stupid idea. Of course, I did follow... Of course, then we all had to wait on the guy with the 690 Enduro R who decided to follow the rest of us with the easy to push out of the mud pit bikes...
Here we all are waiting for the fastest bike in the group...

So I've put a few miles on the 625.
It's fun to rip around with! It's not fun to commute with.
The thing vibrates like a paint shaker. You don't notice the vibrations while the front wheel is off the ground, leaned way over or tearing up a dirt road. But cruising down the street is uncomfortable.

No. The bike likes full throttle and decel. Runs pulls hard and runs smooth. It doesn't like to cruise along.

Not too much orange happening these days.
I keep looking at my 450. . . I can't remember the last time I rode it
I've been basically living at the shop and it's not the best commuter, though I've done it. I should get it out for a beatin'

I think it's about time to alter your username. How about: KTMlover or Monsterhaver?

Did they have the ecu opened all the way up?

Then again there is this issue

That's me, mac900. Maybe this bike is going to need some time to get everything sorted.

Nah, street mode all of them (Dukes, Adventures). But still plenty of power for Thurston Rd.

Yep. He says it's because of all the dirt & water they ride through plus they ride all day so he figures he has to change out every 40 or 50 hrs. I couldn't believe it either. He gets a bit better life if he uses genuine KTM bearings but the cost factor leads to some aftermarket stuff because the life expectancy isn't appreciably better. Crazy, huh?

So he actually has bearing failures, or he's following some prescribed replacement schedule?
Do the other guys he rides with on KTM/non-KTM have the same issue?
