I may slice the tank side to side above the vertical head and lengthen it back towards the seat for add'l fuel capacity and the ability to add the pump flange behind the head.  I may not...

Spike in PDX

Actually it would work better on the BMW boxer.  They are 180 degree cranks.  If I ever get another one, I'm going to re-phase one of the cams to make a big bang engine.

 OOOOh!! I'd ride that!

Got some free time (pure luxury these days) this weekend and pulled the motor out for it's rebuild.  In the 2nd shot, you can see the casting designation of the 749R head as well as the 6mm titanium valves.   Evil

No pictures on this update...  BUT, I did order up the SpeedHut gauges and a MicroSquirt ECU today.

260mph GPS speedo 2 5/8" face
12K rpm tachometer 2 5/8" face
120'-260'F coolant temp 2 5/8" face
and a small shift-light

I was really happy to know that SpeedHut was able to make the 260kph speedo into a 260mph speedo for free.   Grin

LOL! Yeah right...  The power required to go 210 is way more than 200 and after that it goes up and up and up.

Come on!! The duck on the front fender has flames shooting from his arse! That's worth at least 20HP.

change the design where the flaming arsed duck is sucking on a turbo like a pipe and you can add a couple more ponies to that at least!

Pressurize that focker Cheesy

749R w/nitrous this year.

749cc Duc twin on alcohol & a turbo is next year...

BTW: the turbocharged 749R drag bike of Australia makes 234rwhp.

Plugging 234hp into some conservative speed calculators nets 221mph.  We're shooting for ~180hp this year on nitrous and that nets 202mph.  A stock 749R motor at 120hp would net 176mph...

So, plugging in 260mph requires 383hp...  I think the bottom end would give out first!
