Ah-that's the little motor for that thing. 361 cubic inches.
Or roughly 5.9 liters.

That's a big enough donk to do the job.
Love this thread. You're doing a good thing.

'preciate all the kind words and Red Baron's willingness to help (I should've asked months ago).
We're up to date now-everything is as last posted until I make some progress.
Hopefully soon I can lay a coat of paint/primer on the Falcon and if it's any good, consider doing the Chrysler.
I do have to replace the quarter panels on the Falcon first-they're shot. I'm almost done with the fenders.
It's not helpful that I get time to do this work post kid-bedtime/chores, so about 8-10pm at night is what I get on a good night.
It's also why I'm content to have the custom shop do so much work for me-I don't think I would've finished anytime soon, and I figure 22 years might just be long enough to work on something.

Thank you for this thread.
It actually made me cry, thinking about working on various rusted hulks with my old man.
Again, thank you, and keep us informed! (pics and more pics)

Ripper thread!
How blessed to have been able to have worked on this car so much with your dad! Great stuff!
Many of us dream of having had time like that with their old man.
Looking forward to more progress.

Loving this. I need to find some money and time. I still have my '78 280Z. It runs but has a few issues. Maybe I should properly mothball it and make it a project in a few years since I have a son coming soon.

You should do it like Dave if you really want a project.
Park it outside in the tall grass.
