Spectacular track highsider, low speed, bike lands on it's nose and slides ~100 feet on it's right side.

Landing from a highsider and some bike contact can be dangerous and the places I hurt made the medics send me to a full trauma team check...... no internal damages, no broken bones - just well and truly beaten up. Pain killers and lots of rest will probably send me through all right.

Thanks for good gear to Dainese, SIDI, Schuberth, Coretech  waytogo Lots of scuffs, but only a couple of small holes or broken seems.

I didn't see the bike post crash and was worried it might be a total mess - beyond repair. Got a good look at it today and it seems like it's going to be repaired.

One problem is the parts that are discontinued - will have to see how that will be handled. Carbon fairing stays --> my old PoorDucRider. CycleCat DRS53 --> GillesTooling/Rizoma. Swatt clip ons --> WoodCraft. Probably another few items...

So, being thankful it didn't hurt me more and seeing the bike as repairable - glass half full  Dolph  chug

See how the previously painted cover now has the Ducati logo nicely 'sanded' down

Correct sticker for the occasion  cheeky

Good to hear you're basically OK!

Let's talk more about forks before you buy clipons.

Glad you're ok. Sorry about the bike, but like you said, it coulda been worse.

I hear you about the discontinued items. I look on mine and see what's not readily available anymore and worry what would I do if I needed to replace them.

Lars.....Happy that you're alright buddy. If you need new lines, Cycle-Cat rearsets or a couple of other items shoot me a PM. Got parts I'd like to offload before I head to Australia and you seem like the perfect person given all that you did to help me with mine.

I'm sad for my bike, but the reason I put this in Acc & Mods is that there will be things happening making this the right place for it. It's also why I named the Photobucket album 'opportunities'.

Thanks  waytogo besides the rash, the clip ons only sheared a bolt, but PM about forks on it's way. Forks  drool

Thanks  waytogo  It's so many things, hard-to-find stickers, Nate's custom sized race numbers a.s.o. up to the yet unanswered question if Ducati really have the slip ons as advertised.

Glad du er OK Lars.

Thanks  waytogo   Grin Yes Nate, highsiders are for kids and I play like one  Cool

Nobody bothered to measure  cheeky , but I went over the handle bars and some acrobatics were performed while airborn, so I'd say yes. I'm sure a 20 year old would have dusted himself off and carried on, but hey, I am what I am  laughingdp
