Any opinions on JE pistons, high compression, can of worms is open, do I need to do anything on a 900ssie motor on timing adjust, etc
Found a set really cheap. Please share your horro story, and save me from myself

Great bang for buck hi comp forged piston and are an excellent performance mod in my limited experience.
Have only dealt with four sets of the J&E brand (3 × 904, 1 × 944), but no issues except with the carbed motors.

The valve pockets appear deep for clearance when you check them. Interesting what your squish clearance will be with the older heads on the newer motor.
You get another, faster bike by waking up the compression with these motors.

J&E give around 11:1 claimed compression requiring premium fuel.

The extra comp broke engine studs in the older 900 motors, but the 900ie has the revised, stronger studs. (Black studs good, shiny studs bad).

Older carbed 900's needed ignition tuning, but the 900ie has a nicer curve (or should I say it has a curve and not a cheap step).

I read somewhere once that the off the shelf J&E was a smidge looser or tighter in some years barrels due to very slight variations from the factory, but have only heard/read it once.

Have not heard piston slap yet with the J&E brand.

We put them in my brother's M900Sie and it really works well with the capacity and cams. With stock compression I found his bike underwhelming. It seemed there was too much cam for the stock comp or not enough comp for the big cam. With higher comp the 900ie is now my favorite 900.

Thanks, squish on heads is identical
Figured why not, full set for 260 us
Bikes apart, and with about 6lbs of rotating mass gone, could be fun, lol

The pistons JE are of good quality, I have mounted on several engines and nothing to say to date.

By cons for mounting control that the squish is at least 1.1mm because they compress very strong (between 11.5 / 1 and 11.9 / 1 for those I have mounted).

For the squish valves / piston this goes without problem.

Then you will have to inject a new map into your calculator (I can provide it to you if you need it).

And after enjoy  [beer]

Ok, now for the rear calipers, is there anything available other then the blob of aluminum Brembo rear caliper, any CNC options, bla bla bla.
Below are what's going on the front, they don't make an 80mm bolt set up, just a 84mm bolt set up
