Just a quick update. We don't have very many new pictures to post since most of the fabrication is completed. I've been spending my time these days running wiring and doing a lot of soldering and heat shrinking etc.

That doesn't make for very good photos.

Also, I have a functioning clutch and working brakes. I bent all stainless lines and flared them . Only two leaks and they were both fittings that weren't quite tight enough so that made me feel like I did it right.

Once everything is tested I will loom all the wiring and permanently attach it to the frame etc.

If I have enough warning that we're going to do it I will try to live stream the initial fire up.

Brake lines all done. Let me tell you how great it is to use a vacuum pump to bleed the system.  We did the whole truck in probably 10-15 minutes.  Click for video-

Finished radiator cap. I may make changes to this later. I like it will enough but I can't help feeling like it could be cooler.

Lots of wiring happening now. Not just lots.  All of it.

8 gage fusible link on the 4 gage line that feeds the +12v constant block in the cab.  Attached with an impact crimper, then soldered and covered in heat shrink

Found this neat trailer wiring do hickey that splits the turn signal and brake inputs to work with one output.

I have the wiring for both fuel pumps, fuel sender and both radiator fans exiting the battery box through this cool Deutsch twist lock plug I got. I picked up the crimp tool to put pins and sockets on the wire ends and they just push into the plug until they click lock into place. A rubber membrane grips the wire insulation keeping water out. The two plug halves are also sealed against water intrusion.

Wire loom added to all the exposed wiring. This one was before I taped the end on the fuel pump. This stuff came from harbor freight and is a lot nicer looking than the corrugated plastic stuff

This is the plug for the drive by wire harness that connects to the Holley dominator.  Thankfully this ECU has a ton of open inputs and outputs. I added two wires to this plug that output switched +12v that will trigger a relay for my intercooler pump and intercooler radiator fan.  I'll setup the ECU to apply voltage a set period of time after ignition confirmation to help keep the load in the system down during engine crank.

Rough running headlights wiring

What a mess! It's getting better everyday though. Currently I have functioning headlights, taillights, brake, turn signals and drls.  I'll tidy that up and then start making connections to all the relays etc, tidying those up as I go.

We may be able to try and start it possibly next week. At the least I'll get that all on video. I may try and live stream it and if I go that route I would try and use YouTube.

However, I need 27 more subscribers (need 50) to me able to live stream from mobile.

Feel free to sub and if I can get to 50 the live stream is an option even if it is hard to schedule.

The end is in sight!

Possibly tomorrow but don't hold me to it.

I have to get everything finished wired tonight and tested and we still need to check the cooling system for leaks and fill fluids on everything.

Unfortunately it's going to be hard to schedule. I'll only be able to give rough idea of when and then it will happen when it happens.

This laissez faire attitude regarding the schedule is unacceptable. ; [evil]

C'mon bro...you want us all to see it. Set a day/time that gives you time to finish, and go with it.
