as I understood it, the 1000ds and the 620 are te same motor, just different pistons, extra spark plugs, heads,, and clutch

so a 1000ds right side cover should include what is needed

but who knows  Huh?

fixed it for yah waytogo

well,............as long as we are talking about conversions...

if i could get my hands on a hyper motard ds1100 engine
and the swing arm
and the shock

i would have a gently used ds1000 engine to offer you
but you would have to come and get it
wherever it might be

I've had a boat.  I have a Ducati.  Ducatis are better.  The thousands you spend on your Ducati are an option.  On a boat, it's often necessary just to keep it running.

I don't think so.

The 620 is the same as a 750/800

The DS motor has totally different cases AFAIK.

There was a dry clutch 5 speed motor early on and that case can be used or...

you can do it Stuarts' way

I read an article awhile back on the efficiency of the 620/1000ds motors as being the highest HP/Fuel Mileage per cc that Ducati has ever made

in the article it made several references as to the motors being identical except the top end

so either I misinterpreted the article or it was just wrong

and I thought so

stuarts way confused me

I just need to find the case of the old motor

any idea what motor it was?
