Good luck P...I just don't understand why, in this job market, an employable person, nevermind a talented an experienced one, would ever step foot in that place again. I guess I think differently. :-\

Noonish...
12 hour shift, 4 now on runway hot crew. First out, when the bell chimes.

Bailout yesterday at 1330, flameout on 1 engine.
We where having hot smokediving, training.
20foot container, full fire outside airport grounds.
Put out fire, pack up drive like the wind.
Made it back on tarmac with 10min.
Before wheels touched ground.

Unfortunately, I'm not in a financial position to just bail as much as I daydream about doing so.  I'll be networking at a national industry event all weekend with a few targets in mind to see if they have any opportunities.   Change will happen this year.  That I know.

I was never in a financial position to just bail either.

That never stopped me from doing just that.

 [coffee] [coffee]  We interrupt this morning coffee time with a Ram News Brief:

L&I Consulting, WA state OSHA, was here yesterday interviewing workers. During the interviews, they learned that the director of manufacturing is telling workers to run rubber injection machines with broken safety guards and malfunctioning light curtains.

Consulting can not cite or fine a company. If they find something egregious, like a willful violation of the machine guarding code, then they can take some action. Their option 1 was to leave, have compliance come in this morning and SHUT RAM DOWN.

Option 2 was the Safety Manager grabbing a handful of red out of service tags, calling the COO to her office, and then watching management get their asses handed to them by the man!

Today will be interesting.

And in other Ram news, a warehouse worker quit yesterday, then came in at 0630 this morning. He walked around the warehouse smoking a joint and when confronted, he threw coffee at the supervisors face. Good thing it was not very hot.

After that, he left. Funny thing is, he took a bus from Tacoma to South Seattle just for that!

The director of manufacturing got his ass handed to him by the COO. They are friends and 2 of the 5 co-owners of the company.

I stay for the 10 minute and the good pay. Plus it is interesting  [laugh] [bang] [bang]

Had a tooth pulled. It sucked.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
