slowing down is cheaper than a lidar detector.

My friends laugh at me and call me "the slow guy on a slow ducati" but I have zero tickets on my bike.  They all have crazy stuff like speeding and crossing double yellow.

My fast lap is your sighting lap.

Be aware you can get ticket for some things on bicycles too...

I've gotten a few tickets in my lifetime.  None were on the bike though.  And none in Houston where I live now.  What I've found is that generally <13mph over will not get you ticketed.  >13mph will get you the officers signature on that triple copy paper.

At this point I would suggest it's not a cop problem.  It's not a bike problem, you're on a 620 monster.  It ultimately remains that the only valid reason is......

the bike is red.  And because of blue/red shifting on fast objects, the police radar guns are reading that you are going away from them at a highly increased speed.  They are not calculating this color shift using basic radar/laser guns, so they are incorrectly ticketing you going faster than you are!

or...

You need to slow your butt down.

Just slow the hell down man. Its not your guages, its not your lack of a detector, its not your inability to see cops. You need to get control of yourself and slow down, plain and simple.

Good luck, I hope you don't lose your license.

I don't know exactly where you live or ride but there are plenty of places near C-bus with great riding.  You've had to know that there are always cops right near easton and always on 670.  Gahanna and State Highway Patrol both sit there all the time.

It sucks you've got so many tickets but I very rarely see any cops when I ride in the NE part of Franklin county or head down south around Chillicothe.

The best routes I have found so far are Routes 555 ( in Zanesville area which takes about 45 minutes to get to from COL ) and Route 26 near Marietta ( about 1 1/2 hour from COL ).   Been to hocking hill a few times (Route 664 i think) You are correct on the 670 area and the cops.   Don't remind me.   I ride with people at the Taco bell on high.

I would say you need to change your group then because I'm sure they are part of the reason your getting pulled over.  From what I've seen they are a bunch of squids.  I'm sure they can all ride very well, probably way better than I do, but man that group is notorius all around Columbus for getting into trouble.  Wheelies, stunts, dangerous speeding are all things that come to mind when I think of that group and I'm only 25. Imagine what non-riders think!  I'm sure the cops know your bike by now.  I personally ,and I'm sure Cyrus would too, stay as far away from that group as possible.  I got caught up with them on 670 when I was first learning to ride on my 250 Ninja and actually pulled off on the side of the highway to avoid them.

Plenty of other good roads closer than either of those two.  Trying going South, Hocking Hills/Athens area is a wonderfull place to ride.  [thumbsup]

we understand.   It's probably quicker than a 620 so it's hard to drive slow.    ;D

(also owns a 620 so nobody get all bent out of shape)

I nearly got one many years ago for running a red light (my bicycle wouldn't trip the traffic sensor).  I have to admit to using tears to get out of it. [roll]

My worst case of speeding, proportionally speaking, was more than 4 times the speed limit on a bicycle. [evil]

(22 in a 5 mph zone...it was on an empty trail, the sign says "radar" but I've never noticed any evidence of that.)
