My dog runs free all day. However at dark it is time to be tied up as the coyotes outnumber him. Walked out last night to put him on the lead and almost jumped out of my skin. Living in cattle country does have it upsides, if you are my pup.  Not quite as big but heres one my dog caught herself.  |

I have had people ask me why I would let my dog eat a rabbit. The usual issue they have is thinking it will make him sick. I always ask the same question; What did they eat before Purina? Good catch for your pup  |

Our Boxer/Malinios mix got three rabbits last year, and a Robin.
The WTF part? She comes back in the house and throws up rabbit parts. Usually recognizable too.

Stella, It was a calf that had initially been taken down by coyotes. I have a tracker on his collar and he is back in the same field every morning the last two days. I think the coyotes got another calf...
The cattle company that owns that field is run by bean counters and not real ranchers so it is not uncommon to see them drop off cows prior to calving. Lots of dead ones out there every year. It kinda pisses me off.
