I yanked all the electrical out of the CB and replaced it with my own wiring to create a total loss system. Battery, coils, plugs, and then an on/off switch. This allows me to bump start it, but means I need to leave it on a battery tender all the time. After putting it all back together, it was in pieces when I bought it, it started with three steps and a down shift. The only downfall was it jerked forward and the rear sets tore a hole in my bare calves... Was in shorts.  Time to install the clutch cable... Oops.

I received the new petcock in the mail. I will be installing it later today. Hopefully it won't leak.

Install some inline fuel filters with that petcock. It will help keep them carbs clean.

I really like the reliability and predictability of modern EFI but I really do miss the see-through inline filters from back in the day.

That's been mentioned on the Savage Forum.

The new petcock works, and it doesn't leak.  waytogo

I got spark. Shocked

I'm charging it up and then will try to get it to start.

Everytjing is installed, so now it's getting it to start and getting things adjusted.
