Here in Jackson, New Hampshire getting ready for the hill climb tomorrow. I drove up from Boston and watched the clouds get closer as the altitude got higher. I got to the registration tent at the foot of the mountain just as the sun was setting and I got to see the summit off in the distance. Holy crap what have I gotten myself into! The good news is that the weather is supposed to be perfect. Sunny and only 25mph winds. Considering that the winds are usually around 40mph, 25mph is a blessing.  [thumbsup]  Start time is at 8:45 tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Right!...more like a Toyota spider.  It's a tiny little car.  I can't see out the windows, everyone can look straight down at me and I feel like I am too tall for this car.  It runs like a go-cart too.  You have to rev it pretty good to get it to go.  Very different from my F350 dually.

I didnt get too creative... well HA! I didnt get creative at all.  [laugh]  "The Gremel" kinda freaks me out.  Although this went pretty smooth.
I used the 32mm dia. 1mm thick cut-off wheel - went through two(they gum up)  the only two I had.  :P  four or five would have made it go faster.  Then a 3/8 grinding stone to clean up the round areas.   [thumbsup]

Wow, I guess I'll have to cut down (ha, see what I did there) on the coffee before I do mine or else forget the steady hand.  :P

it's really as simple as that to me.  whatever moral stance i have, whatever fiscal policies i support, and whatever religious agendas i may back, it all falls second to the larger point of "do i want hope and inspiration, or do i want fear and imperialism?"  i, for one, believe that the president has a greater power, beyond getting certain bills passed and others killed; i believe that a president can inspire a country.  honestly, when was the last time we could say that??

and i would agree, it is largely a pep-rally, but that's what it's designed for.  it's supposed to get people charged up and passionate about the process, to get them to tell their friends to vote for so-and-so.  you're supposed to showcase your best players and tell everyone why you're going to kick the other teams asses.

Sitting in a cottage in Mena Arkansas having some MGD and Merlot. Drove down the Talimena Trail earlier, which is normally beautiful with awesome twisty roads. Today it was rainy and the mountain ridge was cloaked in cloud cover. Still got to push it hard and scare the wife so it's all good.

trying to figure out why everytime I watch superbikes on SPEEDTV it's always the same bullshit.....  Its either stunting or stretched and slammed bikes with a 300 tire kit.  It's make the beast with two backsing bullshit, what the make the beast with two backs is super about those bikes?  I enjoy watching stunting, and I respect the work that goes into these bikes, but can we get some real make the beast with two backsing superbikes.  Just saying mix it up a little!  Racing, stunting, customs, etc....

I low sided - in the middle of Big Bend - I was moving at a pretty good speed so I rolled for a while - long enough to think about a lot of stuff, like - dammit!  I think I just f'ed up my bike...........am I still rolling........really........still.......ok, I just hit my head.........wow......... :P

no worries though - I was able to ride the bike off the track - just broke the shift lever (considering ordering those in bulk now), and added some character marks to the bike, jacket, and the rest of my gear.  +1 to having excellent gear! I rode two more sessions after that with no problems! [thumbsup]

Motopia has the ASV levers.  They are "unbreakable" in that they hinge out if they hit.  If you do break them, ASV will replace them for free.  I have the shorties on my bike, and they are sh1t hot...

It was the fastest corner between the two big straights, she passed me in "breaking zone" and was still accelerating.  My guess is she was doing no less than 80 when she hit the ground.  I got it all on video.  Bet she rolled 10 times or more.  Not sure how she managed to run 2 more sessions after that.   [bow_down]  She is moaning with every move she makes.  She's passed out at the moment, I think she could use the rest.

Again, glad she's OK. I'm sure she could use some rest. It always hurts more on the 2nd or 3rd day.

Thinkin' about next Sun. ride (not HC) with RedLob, Dallas2R, twofelines, circular cylinder liner, big bend roller, and others.  Hopefully not just fantasizing.  It would be cool to ride with the Easties.

Thanks for asking  :)  My right leg decided to seize up last week - nasty bruise on inner right thigh.  I think I must have had the bike slam into the inside of the right leg (the car hit the left front part of the Monster and then continued to push it through the intersection) and then as I became airborne I must have scraped along the bike as I flew towards the left and over the hood clearing the car before the somersault finale of landing on my back on the road.  Net: couldn't lift the leg too well but it improves daily.  Latest complaint is the lower back.  It's akin to having the most injured parts starting to heal which allows the less injured parts the ability to register their complaints!

But when people ask me "how are you doing?"  I answer "wonderful"  I count my gratitude and blessings on this.

I know in Australia, they (the Fosters brewery) rate their beer on a 1-to-6 scale.
Over there one or two batches a year might actually be a "6".
They fly here to do batch taste testing a couple times a month.
They were very impressed (astounded?) that the VERY FIRST BATCH we produced -rated a "6"!

I don't think a single batch out the door since then has fallen below that mark.

It certainly must be fresher. 
Now it's made mere miles from your home, with Australian ingredients, under their watchful eye.
