In NY, for manufacturing, it is an old law to pay once a week on Thursday.  I worked a full week and then the next Thursday, no check.  I told them it was ok, figure it out and pay me for 2 weeks the next Thursday. The next week I get 1 week of pay for the previous week. Nothing for the first week. They said that they would cut a check. I said, no, I could wait. Finally on the third week, they got me caught up and did it all correctly.

Yeah, nothing shady, just under performing HR staff. I'm in a battle of wills with the main HR woman over political signs at work.

Almost afternoon all. The house went for 50k over asking. I'm not interested in paying that much extra. I can rent where I am for a while longer.

Work - I have a meeting with my manager tomorrow. I'm still on the fence.
